CIM Engineer

Responsibilities

As part of the team, you will participate in a wide selection of allocated CIM issues and contribute to the reduction in blade related CIM costs:

  • Work closely with blade engineering personnel to identify blade CIM issues;
  • Use root cause analysis to understand, contain and prevent future problems and design faults;
  • Support to rectify or repair problems within the design phase;
  • Work closely with structural /design engineers and factory to modify or redesign blades;
  • Blade CIM projects/case handling will be delivered within agreed scope, cost and timeline;
  • Analyse and assess cause and effect of composite structures & assembly deviations;
  • Responsible for a composite structure repair specification;
  • Responsible for the design and production data analysis;
  • Responsible for the NC (Non-conformance) management.

Qualifications

  • A relevant engineering degree, ideally mechanical/polymer engineering.

Competencies

  • Composite design and process knowledge;
  • Wind Turbine blade experience;
  • Composite structure repair knowledge;
  • DFMEA/PFMEA knowledge;
  • Six sigma tools knowledge;
  • Highly effective communication;
  • Networking skills;
  • Safety focussed;
  • Motivated and execution focussed.
