YOUR TEAM

Within the Network Management Directorate, the Network Manager keeps the network operating as smoothly and efficiently as possible, working closely to support industry actors by providing services, functions, deliverables and training. The Network Manager delivers ATM performance for the pan-European network in the areas of safety, capacity, environment/flight efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

YOUR ROLE

Your role will be to:

  • Manage the entire release management life cycle of operational systems & products (planning, control, testing, etc);
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure execution of the software development life cycle;
  • Identify risks and anticipate/resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality;
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are meeting defined expectations;
  • Manage the communication of all releases technical events, and ensure alignment across key partners and suppliers;
  • Produce technical documentation and specifications;
  • Be constantly on the lookout for ways to improve releases practices/processes to be more reliable, efficient and cost effective;
  • Contribute to working groups and studies/projects;
  • Perform any other tasks with the main purpose of the job.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES

  • Completed university studies of 4 years in a relevant domain (e.g. IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or in another related field);
  • Internal candidates should check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate;
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience;
  • Experience in release processes and releases development technologies and tools;
  • Project management skills;
  • Knowledge of ATM would be considered an asset;
  • Analytical thinking: applies methodical approach to complex information;
  • Problem-solving: anticipates and solves business issues;
  • Managing change: support the change process;
  • Communication: fosters two-way communication;
  • Influencing: tailors style and approach to impact others;
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment;
  • Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach;
  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular post, thorough knowledge of English and satisfactory knowledge of French to the extent necessary for the performance of the described duties are required.
