Your responsibilities:

  • Responsible to develop and execute investment projects in time, budget & scope according to the OMV Project Management System (PMS);
  • Broad-scale responsibility for projects - starting with the initiation of the project (PIN) to the management of project execution of the entire project scope and finishing with the end of the start-up period;
  • Securing the commercial viability of projects, adding value to the business and ensuring OMV’s long term competitiveness;
  • Coordinating the project team to come up with the technical expertise to ensure that the most appropriate technology and process license will be used;
  • Development and implementation of cost and schedule management plans and a contracting strategy during the early phases of the project in accordance with international best practices and OMV corporate principles;
  • Actively manage project risks, ensures that risk management and risk acceptance criteria are in place and defined, risk response plans are elaborated and followed up by the relevant risk managers and owners;
  • Estimate required financial resources and staffing demands for the defined scope of work;
  • Identify and define stakeholder (internal stakeholders, external partners, authorities, etc.) from early project phases on and managing their expectations and interests in a professional manner.

Your profile:

  • University Degree Masters/Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Sciences or equivalent technical discipline or Economics with relevant professional experience;
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience with at least 7 years’ experience in Project management, Project Development or Technology in oil & gas or chemical industry;
  • Experience in managing complex projects and prove that projects were successfully completed within schedule and budget, preferably within a multinational environment;
  • Sound cross disciplinary technical and economic understanding of all impacts for total cost of ownership analysis;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and open minded to unconventional solution approaches;
  • Fluency in English, German and other languages advantageous;
  • Experience in operation or maintenance is an advantage.
