Product Line Manager function is the interface between Commercial Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing and Sales – bringing a coherent focus to the value outcomes. This key role gives direction and voice to the product and the customer, defines the roadmap by which it evolves and identifies the critical initiatives to be taken for commercial success. They will evaluate the Impact/Effort required to improve or develop the product line and will prioritise activities.

They should quantify and communicate the impact of specific business or technical initiatives on their Product Line and the market. The role requires constant experimentation and challenge - questioning beliefs, challenging assumptions and understanding, and communicating the complete picture. The role must deliver the short-term business goals and tactics; but also clarify and evangelise the product long-term strategy; maximising value and delivering sustainable growth.The Product Line Manager will evaluate key market, industry and scientific principles that govern the ecosystems in which BHGE operates. They will bring together and direct resources and data assets that feed our industry market models, and champion these inputs together with our business partners, to identify opportunities for growth and disruption.
Responsible for improving the value and reducing the cost of product design, manufacture, sourcing, qualification, installation and operating of flexible pipe systems. Analyse Competitive Intel., supported by ITO and Marketing, to maximise competitiveness. Direct the NPI portfolio which affect the Flexible Pipe Product Line to balance customer needs with value, and to ensure we are competitive, technically differentiated and tuned into customer pain points and future needs. Review and support engineering design for manufacture and design-to-cost/value initiatives. Embed these business tool and activities in cross-functional teams to:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical (or similar) engineering, plus business experience in technical or commercial roles covering design, sales, project execution. Deep knowledge of subsea systems and flexible pipe required.Proven track record of achievement to this grade.
