Configuration Services Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

Configuration Services Project Manager (CSPM) manages delivery of customized hardware and software solutions for HP customers in the Supply Chain end to end environment, at a worldwide level, from the early presales engagement with the customer up to the product orderability.

The CSPM main responsibilities include:

  • Works across various functions and leads multiple projects from point of getting customer services requirements to the point of enabling oderability in HP global environment
  • Provide consultancy to the sales team on identifying the right services and solutions according to the customer`s requests
  • Involve the right stakeholders, set the right expectations, communicate process steps and timelines
  • Participate in Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Solution Design with customer and HP teams, assist in opportunity qualification and risk assessment
  • Coordinate the customer requirements gathering and collect clean deliverables and services specifications from the customers
  • Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing direction and guidance related to configuration services and engagement process
  • Run feasibility with relevant teams to find out if the customer`s requirements are feasible
  • Drive and coordinate the services delivery with WW Configuration Services Engineering team, Product Data Management team as well as factory teams, meeting overall TAT and quality goals
  • Track the details about the project progress, drive the communication with customer and sales
  • Coordinate the proof of concept with the customer and factory
  • Cooperate with Sales Operations teams the services details needed to guarantee orderability
  • Identify the potential risks along the process and proactively communicate them to the customer and sales team
  • Manage effectivately escalations (in case of technical problem, delay or customer escalation, CSPM owns driving the resolution plan cross-functions and communicates properly to the sales team and senior management)
  • Frequently represents the organization to other businesses within HP and to customers

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor`s or Master`s degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT industry and/or Supply Chain
  • Customer engagement related experience would be an advantage

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Strong planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Project management skills and associated tools (i.e MS Project)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
  • Ability to effectively communicate plans, proposals, and results
  • Strong leadership skills (driving attitude, results oriented, proactive follow-up)
  • Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of business strategy
